| Target Community |
 |
The main target community in this project are children under 18 years of age group. We cover migrant labourers, fisher folk and sex workers in the area. These are the high risk groups getting infected with HIV/AIDS. |

 |
We cover 6 mandals (Poosapatirega, Ranasthalam, Laveru, Ponduru, G.Sigadam and Rajam), two districts (Vizianagaram and Srikakulam) of Andhra Pradesh state. The project covers 357 villages and a total population of 7,53,485. |

| Identification of CLHA/CAA |
Project has identified 1367 children from the project area. Out of these, 101 children are HIV infected (Boys-49 and Girls-50) and the rest 1266 (Boys- 680, girls-588) are affected (one or more than one member of the family is infected). All these are in vulnerable condition and need of the support. |

| Direct Supports |
 |
We provide some direct supports to the infected/affected children who are in vulnerable situation. These supports improve the confidence and living condition of the child and their concern families. They are:- |

| Nutrition Support |
 |
Total 250 children were covered and benefited under nutritional care and support services. Nutritional support is provided in terms of Jaggery, Groundnut, and Raagi powder. |
| |
| Baby Milk for infants |
 |
Baby Milk for infants is a life saving support for infants who are born to HIV exposed mothers. Infant born to a HIV positive mother should not be provided mother’s milk. So, we have provided baby milk to 43 children. These children are HIV exposed children. We are providing other linkages and follow up to these families. |

| Household Support |
 |
228 children were covered and benefited under household support. The support includes medical support, clothes, vessels, blankets, Horlicks, funeral support, house repairs and other needed items. This helps the family to live in a better condition. This support helps the families to overcome from the vulnerable situation. |

| Income Generation Support |
 |
IGP was supported to 81 households of children living with and /or affected by HIV/AIDS. Here the clients were doing Fish vending, Tailoring machine, goat business, Grocery Shop, cloth selling and Iron boxes for Dhobis. This support is boosted them for getting encouragement by which they regained their self confidence |

| Education Support |
 |
Provided educational support to 125 children for formal education to improve the children learning’s in school education. Two children were supported to learn the stitching under the vocational support. Here all the children belonging the poor community and children living with and/or affected by HIV/AIDS. The support was encouraged the children to learn lot to join in the schools and the support was given in terms of books, bags, pens and in some cases school fees |

| Referral for Paediatric ART |
 |
Linkages established and strengthened with ART. As a result of that 72 CLHAs were referred to the ART and out of them 52 CLHAs were put on ART. All the 52 children on the ART was healthy and doing well. The CD4 count of the children was increasing by 50 to 150 basing on the child’s living standards. |

| Support Groups |
 |
We formed 10 child support Groups, 7 adult support groups and 7 Grannies Clubs. All these groups are strengthened and functioning good. We are conducting weekly meetings regularly and discussing issues like education, personal hygiene, general knowledge, stigma related issues, life skill education and communication skills |

| Foster Care |
 |
We provided foster care to 95 children who lost their parents and are living with their extended families. These children need utmost care and support. We have provided grocery, dresses and other items which the children need in their daily life. The extended families are proper care of the children. |

| Advocacy & Sensitization Activities |
 |
Advocacy activities were conducted with PHC doctors, ART staff, Paramedical staff, and Private medical practitioners for making advocacy on behalf of the target community for improving service deliveries. We conducted 46 Advocacy and networking meetings Consultation activities and linkages with the referral institutions like DLO, ICTC, ART, CHC, PHC and Care and Support centers and panchayatraj institutions. |

| Awareness & Testing Camps |
 |
Activities for community mobilization and sensitization were conducted on stigma & discrimination. 50 such meetings were conducted and 753 persons were participated in these meetings. The outcome of these meetings reflected in the referrals to the project as the referrals are increased from the community. |

| Referral Service |
 |
486 (Children 99 & Adults 387) received needful medical service from our Opportunistic Infection Clinic. All these were facing opportunistic Infections and were financially poor for getting outside treatment. We provided free treatment and medicines and gave proper follow-up for their recovery. |

To provide the essential support during antenatal period, we have identified newly conceived women and motivated them to register their names at government ICDS (Integrated Child Development Society) centre to avail basic health facilities during the pregnancy like immunization, supplementary nutrition food, periodical health check-ups etc. |

| Awareness Meetings |
 |
We conducted 270 awareness meetings and created awareness to the large mass on water and sanitation situations of the marine fishing villages. We covered 7531 villagers (male 2724 & female 4627) of 15 target villages during the meetings. We informed about the integrated water and sanitation system, cleanliness of people and their immediate environment (house, school, village etc.) to prevent from water and excreta-borne diseases. We also organised 45 Video Shows on water and health issues in the villages. |

| Women Volunteers’ Training |
 |
Women volunteers are a cadre of self-motivated change agents at village level who can motivate villagers on water and sanitation and create a disease less village. We selected 155 women volunteers who have attended 4 phases of training and fully equipped with knowledge and tools. 155 volunteers are providing their services in the villages. |

| Model Families |
 |
Model families are the first families through whom we supposed to demonstrate an ideal way of living. The objective of selecting model families is to create awareness on hygienic use of utensils as well as ideal practices through demonstration. We selected 1000 model families and provided equipments like household utensils, ice boxes and installed smokeless ovens for promotion of ideal home management. |

Village level cleaning camps are promoted to keep the village clean and out of diseases. We discussed with the village youth, women and leaders and motivated them for organising village cleaning camps regularly in the villages. We motivated the school children and formed sanitation committees in the schools. We organised 100 village cleaning camps and 45 school cleaning camps. |

To develop teaching-learning skills in the students, implementation of technology in education and learning through aid of computer, 3 Primary Schools and one High School are provided with electricity under the project. |

To motivate the children towards the education and create general awereness, promote intelligence quotient and encourage them, we distributed study material and uniforms in 12 schools covering 15 vilalges. We distributed School Uniforms and Learning materials like Pen, Pencils, sharpners, Slates& Slate Pencils, Erasers, Short and long note books. All children are given one pair of School uniform. |

| Construction of School Building |

We constructed one school building with 5 classrooms at Pothayyapeta covering Chikatipeta and Gurayyapeta. This school is provided all the required teaching and learning materials. |

| Scholarships |
 |
To encourage higher education to the children secured good marks in the villages, we have provided scholarships to support them. We selected the children from 15 villages who are interested in continuing their education. The priority was given to poor and intelligent students to continue their collegiate education. The amount is given according to the expenditure of the course studied. |

| Wall Paints and Running Boards |
 |
We painted all 14 Schools with water paints and filled with arts are prepared. From bottom to 3 feet running boards are done. We prepared district, state, country maps, alphabetical, numerical, planets, solar system etc. on the walls. These paints are used for raising learning levels. |

| Parents Meetings |
 |
We have conducted 24 parents meetings in all the villages. We informed about the importance of education to children and government schemes related to education to the parents. Parents are given responsibilities in controlling drop outs and migration in their villages. |

Physiotherapy is also started in the campus. All the physically challenged children in the campus are utilising this services daily 4 pm to 5 pm. Five children from outreach are also coming to the centre (three times in a week) and utilising the services. |

We have started computer training with 20 disabled youth. Out of 12 are girls and 8 are boys. After successful completion of the course, youth will be provided job opportunities. |

Total 53 outreach children and 10 in-campus children were covered under the health checkups. The operations were planned for 2 children in the coming period. Another 7 children has to go to Tirupathi as they need special equipment for operations. |

| Summer Coaching Camps |

During this summer vacations we conducted summer coaching camps to improve the skills of the rural young children. We offered 3 courses i.e., Computer basics, MS Office and Diploma in Computer Applications. Total 50 young children were completed the courses. |
