A baseline study was conducted in all the selected 50 villages to have a clear understanding of the situation before taking up support activities. Based on this baseline we further explored the situation that lead to the trafficking of women and adolescent girls and have made necessary changes in the selection of villages and project.

Awareness meetings are one of the major activities in the project to prevent trafficking and HIV/AIDS. Awareness meetings were targeted at community, leaders, adolescent girls and FSW (Female Sex Workers).

The main aim of the awareness meetings is to alert all sections of the people on the situation and prepare them with the necessary information to prevent the situation. Stage shows, rallies and slogan writings were also carried out to create awareness among the masses.

To give them better living standards the project has planned to mobilize sustainable alternative income sources. Total 25 adolescent girls and women are supported under this program. These persons are in the most vulnerable situation and they don't have any other alternatives to live. As part of Me by Me project two training sessions were conducted on Photographic skills at Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.
