Urban Health Centre in Vizianagaram is covering 16,452 populations under World Bank supported (in the beginning three years and latter by Ministry of Health, Government of AP) Andhra Pradesh Urban Slum Health Care Project. The focus of work is on reproductive and child health. The age at marriage, safe sex and sanitation are the key concern areas. The Centre has commenced from June 2001. It provides comprehensive services on Mother and Child Care to the slum people of 3 wards (ward Nos. 36, 37 & 38) of Vizianagaram Municipality. The below details shows the services provides through the Urban Health Centre from its inception. |
